The Vandoren AL4 Optimum is an alto sax mouthpiece from the French brand Vandoren. Optimum series mouthpieces are very popular among classical saxophonists. The series was created as a result of research into the effect of mouthpiece beak shape on sound to meet the needs of today's saxophonists. The AL4 Optimum is made of ebonite and has a 1.63+ mm opening. This mouthpiece is great for jazz and classical music. Recommended for use with Traditional canes (2.5-3); V12 (2.5-3); V21 (2.5-3); Java (3-4); Java Red Cut (3-4); Jazz (3-4); V16 (3-3.5).
