Mandolin - stringed musical instrument small size, kind of lute.
The first mention of the modern mandolin version with steel strings ("Genoese Mandolin") are in the works of famous Italian musicians who traveled across Europe to learn to play musical instruments and to give concerts. These mandolins, as well as their modern descendants, called Neapolitan mandolins, because their story begins in Naples, Italy. These models are the amygdala with a curved, like a balloon body made of curved planks of desired length. The strings are bent with the help of the stand, which is achieved by a curved red-hot iron. The most common Neapolitan mandolin with four double strings, having commissioned a violin that sounds in unison. Milan Mandolin has not four but five double strings.
