Modules and expansion cards
Modules and expansion cards are designed to expand the functions of mixers and related equipment. Can be used for I/O expansion, interface expansion and multi-channel recording. Allows communication with other devices on the bus. One end of the expansion board has pins that fit exactly into the slotted connector. The contacts provide the electrical connection between card components. On the other edge of the expansion card there is a metal bar that goes to the rear surface of the mixer case, with possible connectors for connecting external devices and with a screw clamp to fix the board and provide electrical contact to the case.
