The DiMarzio Ionizer 8 Bridge (White) was created for the virtuoso Tosin Abasi, guitarist of Animals as Leaders. This pickup is designed specifically for 8-string guitars to provide a clear and harmonious sound in the bridge position, adapted to the extended frequency range of such an instrument.

Tosin emphasized that the main focus should be on the midrange. In combination with a low resonance peak, the Ionizer 8 Bridge adds warmth and depth to the sound even on unwound strings, and the high “E” maintains volume even on the upper frets. The powerful output (440 mV) makes it easy to “warm up” the amp in overdrive mode, while maintaining clarity and dynamism at lower volumes.
