Pickup DiMarzio Sugar Chakra (Black)

The DiMarzio Sugar Chakra (Black) is an innovative pickup created especially for the legendary Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen. Phil's long-standing collaboration with DiMarzio has resulted in many unique models, and the Sugar Chakra™ is yet another example of technical excellence.

Phil set the DiMarzio team an ambitious task: to create a single-coil pickup with the power and attack of a full-size humbucker, but without sacrificing clarity. The result is the Sugar Chakra™, which combines a dense, rich sound with a sharp midrange that cuts through any mix. The highs remain smooth, while the mids and low end adds thickness and volume.

This pickup was successfully tested on the G3 tour, where Phil Collen performed with Joe Satriani and John Petrucci. Phil himself describes it as “crisp and clear, but with a lot of character and incredible energy”.
