Relentless J is a new step towards modern Jazz Bass perfection. By removing the hard edges and adding an arch to the top of the pickups, DiMarzio has achieved an optimal positioning of the pickups and pole tips close to the strings. These improvements not only extend the dynamic range, but also eliminate the need for active circuitry.
The DiMarzio engineering team pioneered and received a patent for the parallelogram-shaped coils that successfully add volume, power and dynamics to the Relentless J. Metal covers with foil-shielded cables further suppress background noise, ensuring clear and transparent sound in all conditions.
