Sixties J Pair pickups
The Sixties J™ combines a modern approach with a classic vintage sound, opening up a new level of expression for your Jazz Bass.
The purest tone and most impressive dynamics come from DiMarzio's unique double parallelogram coil design. Each pickup is completely sealed and equipped with new metal covers and foil-shielded connecting wires, effectively reducing stage noise.
The innovative design is based on the Relentless™ cover design developed by DiMarzio in collaboration with Billy Sheehan. Sharp edges have been eliminated for greater playing comfort, complementing the excellent technical performance.
The Alnico 5 magnets fit precisely into the arch of the pads and conform to the radius of the fingerboard. The improved smooth surface provides precise response, keeping the magnet closer to the strings.
To optimize the combined position (both pickups on), the volume of the pickups has been increased, providing an improved balance between the bridge and neck pickups.
