Pickup EMG JH "HET" Set (Gold)

The EMG JH “HET” Set is a set of pickups created in collaboration with legendary Metallica guitarist JamesHetfield . In early 2009, Gatfield approached EMG President Rob Turner with a challenge: to create a set that would combine the clarity and punch of a passive pickup with the active tone that a generation of guitarists had come to rely on. The result is the JH Set, available in a stylish EMG MetalWorks design with solderless electronics.

The set consists of two pickups: JH-N (neck) and JH-B (bridge). The JH-N neck pickup has ceramic magnetic coils and coils with a larger core than the EMG60 model, which provides more attack, volume, and a rounder sound at the bottom. The JH-B bridge pickup uses steel magnetic coils and a core similar to the EMG81, but with a lower inductance level, which provides a tight attack and a clearer sound at the bottom.
