Rosin for violin and viola Thomastik Euphon 199 is made from degreased and dehydrated spruce resin. This rosin has a medium hardness and is characterized by good adhesion of the bow to the string and a minimal tendency to dust. Rosin is recommended to be replaced every six to eight months, as the essential oils that are important to its quality dry out and evaporate over time. To maintain readiness for use, it is recommended to rub the surface of the rosin with fine sandpaper every week.
