The Pirastro Piranito rosin is orange in color and comes in a durable plastic box. Its composition is perfectly suited for use with Pirastro Piranito strings. This rosin has a medium hardness and is produced in Germany.
Pirastro's recommendations for choosing rosin: violinists and violists usually choose a firm, dry rosin, while cellists use rosin of medium firmness, and double bass players prefer a softer rosin. An important factor is also the material of the strings: firm rosin is better for steel strings, while softer rosin works well with synthetic and gut strings. Firm rosin performs well in warm, humid conditions, while soft rosin is better for colder climates.
