The basis of Thomastik Spirocore S15 strings is a spirally wound cord, due to which the period of vibration is significantly increased and inertia is reduced. Spirocores sound equally good both when playing "arco" and "pizzicato", while they are very responsive and durable. The string winding is chrome, and the E string is aluminum.
