French Horn Holton H179

The Holton H179 is a professional double horn made of high-quality nickel silver and belongs to the "Farkas" series. It has a wonderful warm sound that evokes pleasant emotions while playing and allows you to play even complex parts with ease.

This instrument features an 11.89mm diameter scale and a wide 311.15mm diameter horn, providing a rich, dark, and deep tone with excellent response and high projection. The independent location of the quarter valve from the main valves makes its use much more convenient. The case of the horn is covered with transparent varnish, which makes the sound softer and warmer. The springs are made of stainless steel, and the bell is hand-forged from nickel silver.

The mechanics include a Kruspe 4-valve system with cord connection, and the horn design is left-handed. The H179 Farkas horn features an independent tuning system that allows the performer to tune the Bb key and the F key separately for greater ease of playing. The Holton H179 comes complete with a Holton Farkas MDC horn mouthpiece and a case for convenient transport and storage of the instrument.
