Richwood RMB-1405-LN banjo is a long-neck instrument tuned to low E (Mi). This tuning gives the same intervals as the standard G tuning in a regular banjo but with a deeper, richer sound. This tuning suits many musical styles and works better with voices that require a lower range. With a capo on the third fret, you can return to the standard banjo tuning.
The banjo features an open back, which gives it a soft and rounded sound. However, thanks to the Whyte Laydie tone ring, the instrument retains brightness and clarity. The banjo is also equipped with a coordinator rod for improved stability.
The neck is made of maple, with an ebony fingerboard. From the 18th fret onwards, the fingerboard has a scoop, making frailing technique easier. A special case is included, as the long neck requires a non-standard case.
The Richwood RMB-1405-LN is known for its excellent characteristics and sound, making it one of the best instruments for frailing style playing.
