The Yamaha FS5 acoustic guitar is a modern interpretation of a classic model, where traditional craftsmanship and the latest technologies are harmoniously combined. It is based on the heritage of Yamaha's FG series guitars, which dates back to 1966 when the first Yamaha acoustic guitar was released.
This guitar features a reduced Concert body shape, making it comfortable to play. The top is made of solid Sitka spruce, providing a bright and clear sound with a balanced mix of mid and low frequencies. The back and sides are made of solid mahogany, adding warmth and mid-range richness to the sound.
A notable feature of the Yamaha FS5 is the new scalloped bracing system on the top, delivering a deep and warm tone, making it ideal for modern folk music and acoustic songs. Additionally, the exclusive Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (ARE) technology gives the guitar a rich, vintage tone, achieved by accelerating the wood's "aging" process.
The nut and saddle are made of bone. The fingerboard and bridge are crafted from ebony, and the included strings are Elixir NANOWEB 80/20 Bronze Light (.012-.053).
With nearly half a century of guitar-making experience, the Yamaha FS5 combines the classic aesthetics of the 1960s with modern innovations, making it an excellent choice for demanding musicians.
