The Taylor Guitars AD-17 acoustic guitar is a premium instrument from the Grand Pacific series, combining elegance and excellent sound transmission. Its back and sides are made from ovangkol — an exotic African wood that offers the warmth and brightness of rosewood, along with a more pronounced midrange. The solid spruce top delivers clear bass and a beautiful resonant sound palette, enhanced by the innovative V-Class bracing for greater volume, sustained resonance, and a harmonious tone.
The guitar's design reflects a classic vintage style, with a natural-colored top and a deep Urban Sienna shade on the back and sides. The minimalist yet stylish detailing includes beveled body edges, a Hawaiian koa rosette, and a pickguard made of synthetic tortoiseshell. The matte finish helps fully reveal the instrument's resonance.
The guitar is equipped with 20 frets, with a scale length of 25.5" (647.7 mm). The bridge is made of eucalyptus, while the top and bottom nut are made from tusq and micarta, respectively. D'Addario Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium strings provide excellent sound, and the nickel-plated tuners ensure stable tuning. A Taylor AeroCase is included in the package.
