The Yamaha F310 delivers a lively and rich sound with bright resonance, similar to the Yamaha FG series guitars, which have gained wide popularity worldwide. Playing comfort is ensured by the reduced scale length (634 mm) and body depth (96 - 116 mm).
The top is made of spruce, which has long been a popular choice for acoustic guitars due to its combination of strength and flexibility. It provides the instrument with excellent tonal characteristics, making it suitable for various musical styles.
The back and sides are made of meranti, sometimes called Indonesian redwood. This material has similar acoustic properties to mahogany but is more affordable. Meranti adds brightness to the sound, slightly outperforming mahogany in high frequencies.
The neck is made of durable nato wood, with a rosewood fingerboard that offers comfortable playability and wear resistance. The fingerboard radius is 400 mm. The guitar has 20 frets with dot inlays serving as position markers.
