From the depths of the underworld comes a new bass that is sure to shake you to your core. The Vampyre Dark Lord is an electric bass guitar with a very long scale. The 0.175 gauge F# string is incredibly heavy and is quickly becoming the weapon of choice for bassists who want to explore underground frequencies. To reproduce that low F#, Warwick chose MEC's TJ and J active pickups and MEC's active 2-way preamp. The design team took care to position the pickups so that they best convey the sounds of this beast. The result is a thundering bass sound that is unlike any other sound you have ever encountered.
The body of the guitar is made of alder, a sturdy backbone that provides both thunderous bass and distinct treble. Other top-notch woods in the construction are a maple neck with ekang strips and a wenge fingerboard. A 35-inch scale, adjustable Just-A-Nut III nut and 20-inch fingerboard radius provide added comfort and reliable intonation for challenging bass riffs. Two active MEC pickups paired with active two-way electronics provide multiple tones. Four controls (volume, bass, balance and tone) provide a wide sonic range ideal for the studio and stage. With its unique flame-like body shape, this model will be the perfect choice for the bass player looking for a truly impactful instrument with a massive, tight and ultra-low sound.
