Jackson JS Series Spectra Bass JS3V (Silverburst) is a five-string bass guitar that combines stylish signature design, powerful sound and affordable price.

The body of the instrument is made of poplar — wood that has good resonator properties and complements the sound palette. At the same time, the body has a new Spectra shape for the JS series — with an enlarged upper horn. This shape provides perfect balance of the instrument for long-term comfortable playing on it.

The neck of the JS3VQ is made of maple and has a laurel wood overlay. Thanks to the satin finish, which is typical of higher-class models, it is very convenient to play on such a neck, even those compositions that require a high tempo. The neck is attached to the body with scarf bolts, which ensures maximum structural reliability.

The neck has 24 Jumbo frets, marked with white dots. The neck shape is typical of Jackson models — near the nut it is more rounded and has a radius of 12 inches, and closer to the heel it gradually flattens and reaches a radius of 16 inches. The headstock has a 3x2 configuration. The cast pegs, together with the Jackson HiMass bridge, hold the tuning well and provide excellent sustain.

The bass guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups, which provide a rich low-frequency roar with a high signal level, which is clearly audible even in a dense mix. Thanks to the two-position toggle switch, you can cut off one of the pickup coils, turning them into singles — if you need to make the sound more «glassy», suitable for genres such as jazz or funk.

You can adjust the balance between the pickups using the volume knob, which also has an active/passive pickup mode switch. The other 3 knobs are responsible for adjusting the sound timbre (in active mode). This scheme makes the instrument truly versatile and suitable for any genre of music.
