The electronics are based on a pair of active MEC J/J pickups and a proprietary preamp with a 2-band equalizer. This system allows for flexible tone shaping, delivering everything from deep, velvety lows to a bright attack for modern playing styles. The stability of the neck, which withstands the increased tension of five strings, is guaranteed not only by the strength of the wood but also by special steel reinforcement bars near the 12th fret that prevent deformation.
