Was originally introduced in 1937 and set a standard for guitar excellence that others have been trying to match ever since. The EJ-200 style is simply the world’s most famous acoustic guitar, known equally for its majestic look and focused, complex sound. The EJ-200SCE’s classic shape is made with a solid spruce top with select maple, back and sides and a striking cutaway for total fret access. Our famous SlimTaper™ select maple neck joins the body at the 14th fret and has a 25.5” scale. The rosewood fingerboard has vintage style pearloid crown inlays.
The tone from the EJ-200SCE’s select maple top is enhanced by the classic rosewood “mustache” bridge and synthetic bone saddle. The EJ200SCE also includes the new Epiphone eSonic2™ preamp system features a built-in, easy-to-use tuner and complete with the revolutionary Shadow® NanoFlex and NanoMag pick-up system for incredible electrified sound. The Shadow™ NanoFlex™ pickup, which provides precise tonal fidelity is far superior in vibration transfer and amplification than more expensive, competing systems. The Shadow® NanoMag™ pickup is a revolutionary magnetic acoustic design featuring three samarium magnets that captures a wider, more balanced frequency range, as well as harmonics lost by regular magnetic pickups.
The controls include a Blend fader, which increases or decreases the amount of the NanoFlex™ and NanoMag™ output, separate NanoFlex™ and NanoMag™ EQ knobs, a Master Volume control, a Phase or "anti-feedback" switch, and the digital Tuner control.
