For live performances and studio work, the Yamaha FGX5 is equipped with a 3-way pickup system and an Atmosfeel preamp. The innovative design combines a piezo pickup in the bridge, a microphone for bass and midrange, and a contact pickup for treble to deliver the most natural tone possible. Intuitive controls allow you to mix signals to achieve the perfect balance for any playing style.
The African mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard and bridge provides a crisp attack, comfortable playability, and excellent sustain. The bone fingerboard contributes to better vibration transmission, and the open retro-style mechanics add authenticity.
