Taylor Guitars Academy 12e is an excellent choice for beginners who are looking for an instrument that combines high quality and comfort while playing. Its Grand Concert body shape allows for a clean and balanced sound with warm lows and bright highs. The guitar is made from selected materials: the top is solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made from Sapele wood. This combination provides excellent tonal response and stability.
The neck features a comfortable Taylor-specific shape with a slightly shortened scale length of 632mm, making it easier to press the strings, especially for beginners. The nut width of 43mm further enhances comfort during play. The built-in Taylor Expression System 2 (ES-B) electronics allow you to easily connect the guitar to an amplifier and include a chromatic tuner that helps maintain tuning accuracy.
The included D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Light (.012 - .053) strings deliver a bright and balanced sound while being comfortable to play due to their light tension.
