The PRS SE Mark Holcomb SVN (Holcomb Blue Burst) electric guitar was created in close collaboration with renowned guitarist Mark Holcomb of Periphery. This model stands out in the PRS lineup due to its unique design and technical features that provide unparalleled playing comfort and aggressive sound.
The guitar features a set neck with 24 frets and a 26.5" scale. The neck is made of maple, has a Wide Thin profile, and has an ebony fretboard. This gives the instrument excellent articulation and ensures comfortable performance of complex chords and solo parts. Unique Seymour Duncan Scarlet and Scourge pickups, designed by Mark Holcomb, provide a balance between volume and clarity of sound.
The body of the guitar is made of mahogany with a maple top, adding warmth and resonance to the instrument. The plate-style bridge with a "string-through-body" design ensures reliability and tuning stability. The guitar is equipped with black hardware, PRS-Designed Tuners, a three-position pickup switch, and a push-pull tone knob for coil splitting the humbuckers. The "Birds" inlays add elegance to the guitar.
According to Mark Holcomb, this model is the perfect counterpart to his six-string SE and is indispensable during live performances with Periphery. It is designed to be aggressive yet versatile enough to handle both clean and "mid-gain" tones.
The PRS SE Mark Holcomb SVN (Holcomb Blue Burst) electric guitar comes with a branded case and keys for the truss rod and bridge. The strings are tuned to the standard 7-string guitar tuning (B, E, A, D, G, B, E) and have a gauge of 10-64.
