Electric guitar Cort KX507MS Pale Moon (Natural Black Burst) is a 7-string multi-scale guitar designed for modern heavy music genres, such as progressive rock/metal, where low tuning is required. The main advantages of the instrument are an extended range and versatility.

The guitar uses a multi-scale scheme, that is, the strings have a different working length at each fret - from 25.5 to 27 inches (648 - 686 mm). The neutral fret is in the eighth position. This design provides better intonation and a denser sound of the seventh string (bass). The guitar body is made of mahogany and has an ebony top (Pale Moon). This gives the guitar a unique and impressive appearance, and also adds a little brightness and clarity to the sound.

The guitar neck is attached with bolts. It has a comfortable D-shaped profile and consists of 5 layers, including maple and amaranth, which significantly improves sustain and makes the guitar sound more stable. The 400 mm radius fingerboard is made of Macassar Ebony, which is visually and timbre very similar to rosewood. The neck has 24 Medium Jumbo frets, and the fretboards are made of stainless steel, which contributes to their durability. The frets are marked with “Raindrop” drop-shaped markers, unique to this model.

The guitar is equipped with two Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker pickups, which have a beveled arrangement. These are active high-tech humbuckers that are able to fully reveal the potential of the instrument. Humbuckers provide a powerful output signal necessary for working with high-gain amplifiers. At the same time, they give the clearest signal without noise. The volume control has a Push/Pull function built into it, which allows you to switch between two different “voices” of the pickups (Voice 1/Voice 2). The tone control is also equipped with a Push/Pull function for cutting off the coils and converting humbuckers to singles. There is also a 3-position switch.

The guitar’s bridge has individual Hardtail saddles, which are located at an angle. In this case, the strings are pulled through the body. This design ensures maximum transmission of vibrations from the strings directly to the wood. At the same time, the Cort Locking Tuners allow you to quickly change the strings and ensure the stability of the guitar’s tuning. All hardware is made of black nickel. It fits perfectly into the design of the guitar and adds to its aesthetic appeal.
