The Fender Custom Shop Andy Mooney Telecaster electric guitar is a unique instrument from the IMAGINE collection inspired by John Lennon's timeless classics. It combines the exceptional craftsmanship of Fender Custom Shop with a deep cultural value. Each guitar in this series is adorned with hand-stamped stamps from around the world, collected over more than sixty years - each guitar in this series is unique in both appearance and sound.
The body made of selected alder provides natural resonance and light weight, and the maple neck with rosewood fingerboard has a comfortable Modern “C” profile and 9.5” radius, ideal for both rhythmic accompaniment and soloing. The 22 jumbo frets provide easy access to fast, technical playing, and the synthetic bone fingerboard ensures stable sustain and precise tuning.
The sound is provided by a pair of Yosemite Single-Coil Telecaster pickups that deliver a distinctive Tele sound - bright, clear, with a distinctive midrange and ample attack. The 3-way switch allows you to choose between classic configurations: bridge, bridge and neck combination, or just a neck pickup - each option opens up a new facet of sound. Controls are provided via a simple but effective scheme - a volume control, a tone control, and a standard three-way switch.
The six-saddle, through-the-body bridge with block steel saddles provides precise intonation and crisp sustain, and the Fender ClassicGear pickguards keep the string stable, even when playing hard. The whole instrument looks exceptional thanks to its unique design and chrome hardware details.
