The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '67 Stratocaster HSS Journeyman Relic (Aged Vintage White) electric guitar is a treasure for guitarists who want to combine vintage aesthetics with modern sound and versatility. Based on the classic 1967 Stratocaster design, this model has been given a new lease of life by Fender Custom Shop luthiers, creating a premium instrument with a unique character.
The two-piece body is made of select alder and features a Journeyman Relic nitrocellulose finish in Aged Vintage White - a slightly aged, matte, and soft-touch finish that creates the effect of a natural aging of an instrument that's been played for years. The Quartersawn maple neck with 3A rosewood inlay not only adds warmth to the sound, but also stands out for its stability. The 1965 “C” profile and 9.5” scale radius provide comfortable playing for both chords and solos on all 21 frets. The mother-of-pearl inlays add a sophisticated touch.
At the heart of this guitar is a powerful HSS pickup configuration: a Shawbucker Zebra bridge humbucker adds aggression and density, perfect for overdriven tones, while a pair of hand-wound Fat '64 Single-Coils deliver classic strat tone with bright articulation. The RWRP middle pickup provides intermediate noise reduction, ideal for studio or stage use. All electronics are built with Postmodern HSS circuitry with a combination of 250k and 500k potentiometers for perfect balance in all switch positions.
The bridge, a Custom Shop Vintage Synchronized Tremolo, provides a soft, controlled feel, allowing for flexible expression. A bone pickguard, vintage pegs, and a signature three-ply brown finish complete the look of this Stratocaster.
