The Guild X-175 Manhattan Special is a modern semi-acoustic classic that combines vintage aesthetics with the rich tone of an acoustic body. Inspired by the design of Guild Manhattan's iconic 50s and 60s models, this guitar features a hollow body with an arched spruce top for a resonant, full-bodied, and detailed tone. The three-piece mahogany neck with maple inlay is designed for durability and playability, while the ebony fingerboard adds a classic look and smoothness to the performance.
The main feature of this model is the DeArmond DynaSonic pickups, which provide a rich, bright, and clear sound with excellent highs and rounded bass. These pickups are ideal for jazz, rockabilly, and blues, allowing you to enjoy both transparency on a clean channel and a luscious crunch on overdrive. For even more expressive playability, the X-175 Manhattan Special features Guild's signature Vibrato tremolo, which adds vibrato effects perfect for rockabilly solos or atmospheric chords.
The guitar's body is made of bright maple for enhanced resonance and is finished in an elegant gold metallic color. The comfortable Soft U-profile of the neck and the small 24.75” scale provide a comfortable playing experience, even during long sessions. Multi-layered body and neck trim and pearl inlays add to the guitar's sophistication and vintage charm.
