Electric guitar Ibanez GRG121PAR-KBF (Deep Dusk Burst Flat) is an entry-level/mid-level model from the GIO series, featuring an aggressive design and H-H pickup configuration, which is focused on «heavy» genres of music.

The body of the model is made of okume — a wood that is acoustically similar to mahogany, but has less weight. It gives a warm, resonant tone with dense low and mid frequencies. On the top of the body is a thin layer of poplar with a bizarre (burl) pattern, covered with clear varnish. This is a visual element that gives the instrument an exotic and premium look. The body shape is classic for RG, the double cutaway provides easy access to all 24 Medium frets.

The guitar's neck is made of maple and has a bolt-on mount. The flat profile of the neck is ideal for high-speed passages using bends, vibrato, legato and other techniques. The Purpleheart wood fingerboard provides good sustain, as well as rich mids and highs. The fingerboard is edged and inlaid with mother-of-pearl «shark teeth».

The instrument is equipped with two passive ceramic IBZ-6 humbuckers (neck and bridge), which provide a powerful output signal. Such pickups harmonize perfectly with high-gain amplifiers. A rather interesting electronics control scheme is used. A 5-way switch allows you to choose one of the following modes - neck, neck with cutoff (single), both pickups, both pickups with cutoffs, bridge. There is also a volume control and a tone control.
