The Mooer MVP3 Loopation guitar effects pedal is an impressive tool for creating and managing loops, featuring high functionality and ease of use. This pedal is part of the new VP series and offers musicians a wide range of options for recording and playing back audio loops.
The MVP3 Loopation is equipped with 11 slots for storing loops, with eight slots providing 5 minutes of recording time each and three slots offering 10 minutes each. Slot selection is made using the "Song" knob, and recordings are automatically saved on the device. The pedal offers two recording modes: real-time and auto. In real-time mode, recording starts with a press of the right footswitch, similar to traditional loop pedals. In auto mode, the pedal enters standby after pressing the right footswitch and begins recording automatically when a signal is detected, ending the recording with another press.
Functionality goes beyond just recording. Pressing the right footswitch starts playback of files, and another press activates the overdub mode, which continues until the next footswitch press. Playback can be stopped with two quick presses of the right footswitch or by switching to another slot. If needed, all recorded layers can be deleted by holding the right footswitch for 1 second or pressing the second "Stop" footswitch. In "Undo" mode, overdubs can be undone by holding the left footswitch while playing an additional layer, and repeating this action will restore the deleted layer. There is also an option to reverse the audio file with a single press of the left footswitch.
The Loopation features both XLR inputs with +48V phantom power and TRS 1/4" inputs, with options for mixed or individual modes. Switching between these modes is done by holding the right footswitch while powering on the device. In mixed mode, both inputs are active and can be adjusted with the "Mix" knob. In individual mode, input signals are isolated to their respective outputs, and the "Master" knob allows adjustment of the overall level of both outputs.
Additionally, the pedal is equipped with a built-in reverb module with adjustable level. Holding the "Tone" button while turning the "Master" knob allows precise adjustment of the reverb level. The "Tone" button is also used to switch between three vocal tone modes: flat, warm, and bright.
