Superior audio quality is ensured by signal processing circuitry with a 96 kHz/24-bit sampling rate and internal 32-bit processing. Frequency response remains flat up to 40 kHz and the signal-to-noise ratio is a stunning 100 dB. From a versatile palette of 47 effects, up to eight can be used simultaneously (including ZNR). In addition to standard effects such as compressor and delay/reverb, the A2 offers effects that emulate the sounds of famous acoustic guitars, a microphone simulator and other specialized acoustic guitar effects. A2 allows you to select the best frequency response for your cartridge and amplifier. This is great for eliminating sound problems that can occur when playing an acoustic guitar through a guitar amp. The feedback control function determines the frequency at which acoustic feedback occurs and ensures effective treatment. The function can be activated using a footswitch during performance. Rotary switches and three parameter knobs make operation extremely fast and intuitive. The mute interval when switching patches has been reduced to less than 8 milliseconds. Rhythm patterns created from highly realistic PCM sources are convenient to use in place of a metronome during practice or for quick work. An autochromatic tuner designed for guitar makes tuning easy. The A2 can be powered by four IEC R6 (size AA) batteries or an AC adapter. Continuous battery life is approximately 7.5 hours when using alkaline batteries.
