The NUX NCH-3 Voodoo Vibe is a compact guitar effects pedal that perfectly recreates the classic Uni-Vibe sound, which became famous thanks to Jimi Hendrix's performances in the 1960s. This device offers musicians a multi-dimensional effect that simulates the rotation of a speaker and has two modes: Vibe and Chorus. Switching between modes is done by holding down the pedal.
The key feature of the Voodoo Vibe is its combination of analog and digital technologies, particularly through NUX's modern digital signal processor (DSP), allowing it to run on a standard 9V adapter. This is a significant advantage compared to original models that required 18V power. The pedal is also equipped with the Smart Tap Tempo function, enabling precise control over the speed of the effect.
In Chorus mode, the pedal produces rich, wave-like effects, while in Vibrato mode, the pitch is modulated for a dynamic sound. The pedal's settings are easy to adjust, with intensity controlling depth or modulation and speed adjusting the oscillation rate — from slow effects to fast pulses.
For additional flexibility, the NUX NCH-3 Voodoo Vibe supports stereo input and output via a TRS cable, making it versatile for different musical settings. Additionally, it features a USB-C port for firmware updates, allowing the functionality to be improved with dedicated software.
