Each delay mode has its unique sound characteristics, which can be adjusted according to preferences using three controls: one for delay speed, another for the balance between clean and effected signals, and a third for the number of repeats.

Among the available delay types are classic effects like "Tape", which simulates the sound of reel-to-reel tape machines, "Digital", providing crystal-clear repeats, especially useful when using other modulation effects. The Analog mode delivers a warm, soft sound with smooth decay of each repeat, while "Ping Pong" and "Pan" spread the repeats across the stereo channels, creating a more dynamic sound. There are also interesting creative modes, such as "Reverse", where the repeats play backward, and the Loop function, which allows you to record up to 40 seconds of sound for endless experimentation.

One of the useful features of this pedal is Tap Tempo, which allows you to precisely control the delay speed simply by holding the footswitch for a few seconds. Additionally, the pedal supports stereo input and output, expanding its ability to connect to other devices in the signal chain.

The NUX Time Core Deluxe MKII also features a switch that allows you to choose between several bypass modes: True Bypass for a clean sound when the effect is off, and Buffered Tail Bypass, which preserves the delay after the pedal is turned off. The unique T-Lock function lets you lock settings during a performance to avoid accidentally changing them while playing.
