The Radial Classic is a tube overdrive pedal that captures the warm, rich character of tube amplifiers with the dynamics, sensitivity, and response found only in analog circuits. Featuring a 12AX7 tube in the gain stage, the Classic produces a natural overdrive that ranges from a light breakdown of sustain to a deep, rich drive, reminiscent of the sound of modified tube amps from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
The pedal is based on a three-stage sectional overdrive with a 3-position gain switch and Drive control, which allows you to adjust the degree of overdrive to suit any playing style. The passive-interactive EQ allows you to fine-tune your tone, whether you want to emphasize the midrange for soloing or smooth out the highs and make the tone richer for single pickups.
Unlike many other pedals, the Classic cleans up like a real tube amp - just turn down the volume on your guitar and the signal will be crystal clear with no noise or artifacts. Even at high gain levels, every note remains clear and distinct.
To maximize signal purity, the pedal features a unique True Bypass with optoelectronic switching that eliminates clicks and noise when the effect is turned on/off. As with all Radial products, the Classic has a sturdy steel body for durability in all conditions.
