The Boss CP-1X guitar effects pedal is a modern multi-band compressor designed to accurately and transparently shape the sound of an electric guitar. The device uses the proprietary BOSS MDP technology, thanks to which the compression is adjusted in real time depending on the musician's playing. This approach provides a natural, "breathing" tone without overloading and dips.
The pedal is equipped with convenient controls - COMP, RATIO, ATTACK and LEVEL controls, which allow you to precisely select the desired compression character for any performance style. The panel has a GAIN REDUCTION indicator, which shows the degree of compression, as well as a CHECK indicator to monitor the power status. This makes the process of using the pedal intuitive and as informative as possible.
The Boss CP-1X is equipped with high-quality 18-volt circuits that provide excellent dynamic range and the absence of unwanted distortion. The buffer bypass guarantees signal stability even in complex pedalboards. Thanks to the nominal input level of −20 dBU and the resistance of 1 MΩ, the pedal works correctly with any pickups, including active ones.
The device body is made in the traditional BOSS form factor: durable metal, ergonomic layout and compact dimensions - 73 × 129 × 59 mm with a weight of 450 g. Power is possible from a 9-volt battery or adapter, and low current consumption (90 mA) makes the pedal a reliable tool both in the studio and on stage.
