One of the key features of this processor is the acoustic instrument sound modeling technology using Impulse Responses (IR). Thanks to this technology, users can choose models of various guitar bodies, such as the classic D-28, and adjust sound parameters, including volume, bass, mids, and treble, to achieve a natural and clean sound close to studio quality.

The Zoom A1X FOUR also has special effects for saxophonists, trumpeters, and harmonica players. For example, the "SaxChorus" effect allows for a more natural and thick saxophone tone, while the "Hm StevieW" patch helps create the characteristic sound for chromatic harmonica.

The processor is suitable for various musical styles, from jazz to metal, allowing users to experiment with a variety of sonic landscapes. For convenience, two operating modes are available: MEMORY, which allows switching between patches, and STOMP, where effects are activated using pedals.
