The secret to its impressive tone lies in Blackstar’s signature MOSFET preamp, which authentically recreates valve-like tones in a lightweight analogue format. The combo offers two channels (Clean and Overdrive), inspired by Blackstar’s premium valve amps, and can be switched with a 2-button footswitch (sold separately).

The Debut 50R features a power reduction switch from 50W to 5W. Other highlights include digital reverb with Plate and Hall modes, a series effects loop, cabinet-emulated output for headphones or recording, Line In for connecting audio devices, and a custom 12" speaker designed specifically for the Debut series.
