Yamaha opens a new page in the world of music technology, introducing the MODX M7 — a synthesizer that combines the power of three tone generators, innovative effects and deep integration with studio systems. This is an instrument created for those who seek maximum creative freedom — from live performances to work in DAW.

Three tone generators of the next generation

• AN-X — a new analog engine with three oscillators and five waveforms: support for PWM, self-synchronization, ring modulation, frequency modulation and wave shaping; noise generator and voltage drift and aging settings for authentic vintage sound
• AWM2 — an updated engine with over 10 GB of preset wave memory and 1.9 GB of user memory, which is almost twice as much as its predecessor
• FM-X — a powerful FM synthesizer with 8 operators and 88 algorithms, complemented by a Motion Synth system with up to 32 part assignments for flexible modulation

Expanded polyphony

A total of 268 notes of polyphony: 128 notes for AWM2, 128 notes for FM-X and 12 notes for AN-X.

Control and management

The Yamaha MODX M7 has an even more flexible and intuitive control system. The instrument is equipped with 8 faders instead of four in the previous series, which provides more precise control of parameters in real time. New scene selection buttons have appeared, allowing you to quickly control arpeggios, movement sequences, reverb and Super Knob functions. The Super Knob itself has additional buttons to lock its position in the left, middle or right position, which greatly expands the possibilities of live control. And below the touchscreen are 6 physical controls that provide instant access to key functions and settings.
