The Yamaha CLP-885 digital piano is the flagship model of the Clavinova CLP-800 series, offering the highest level of realism, expressiveness, and technological innovation. This is an instrument that combines the traditions of the acoustic grand piano with the advanced features of the digital piano, meeting the highest demands of professional musicians and providing comfortable playing even for beginners.
The CLP-885 features a GrandTouch™ keyboard with individually weighted keys and white wood keys that reflect Yamaha's long history of acoustic piano design. Innovative 88-Key Linear Graded Hammers technology provides realistic weight gradation for each key, just like a real grand piano. This allows the pianist to enjoy natural and expressive control, even when playing in remote parts of the keyboard.
The keyboard is also equipped with an Escapement mechanism that adds a light click that is typical of acoustic pianos. Counterweighted keys provide a smooth response even at low volumes, and the GP Response Damper pedal allows you to adjust the nuances of the sound by mimicking the behavior of a grand piano pedal.
The tones of the Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand pianos are recorded using binaural sampling to ensure the most authentic sound possible. Grand Expression Modeling technology conveys the dynamic interaction of hammers, dampers, and strings, allowing the pianist to experience a wide range of tonal variations and expression.
Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) adds rich resonance to the body and strings, creating a sound that is typical of the finest acoustic grand pianos. The CLP-885's unique Grand Acoustic Imaging technology delivers a three-dimensional and deep sound that envelops the pianist from all sides, just like a real grand piano.
The CLP-885 features a powerful 3-way speaker system with high-quality cones and specially tuned drivers that accurately reproduce the sound of a grand piano, including the feel of hammers striking the strings.
The CLP-885's elegant body is complemented by a touch-sensitive control panel that activates only when you touch it. Its sophisticated look and compact size allow it to blend harmoniously into any interior. The instrument also supports Bluetooth® Audio and MIDI, allowing you to play music or use the Smart Pianist app for interactive learning, tuning, and playing notes.
The CLP-885 has 20 rhythms and supports 16-track sequencer recording for creating complex compositions. The USB Audio Recorder function allows you to save your performances in WAV format. The Smart Pianist app adds a music player function and interactive lessons that are ideal for learning.
