Here it is, the AfterShock Bass Distortion. They've been talking about the AfterShock over at TalkBass.com for a long time now, but it's finally available worldwide! Our man Nathan Navarro just finished up with the official Source Audio demo of the AfterShock and it is HEAAAVY! The video explores the insane flexibility and killer tones that hide inside this orange box, spanning the gamut from smooth low gain tones similar to a vintage SVT pushing out monster dBs to fully saturated fuzz madness. On its own the AfterShock Bass Distortion looks and operates like a classic stompbox - choose from three thunderous modes of bass overdrive, fuzz, and distortion and dial in a great tone with the pedal's simple four knob control set. Massive bass drive, fast(!), but that is not where the story ends - the AfterShock is compatible with the Neuro Mobile App, a free download for iOS and Android devices. The App provides access to Source Audio's free library of over 40 additional overdrive, fuzz, and distortion engines. Simply select a drive engine then make deep edits with the App's parametric EQ, noise gate, and mix control. In addition you can experiment with the alternate routing options - dual drive engines and stereo inputs and outputs make it possible to internally stack any combination of drives in series or parallel as well as split the signal and send a separate drive engine to each of the pedal's outputs. Do a low gain tone to one amp and a super fuzzy tone to another - that is an awesome sound (in every sense of the word). Once you've dialed in the perfect tone and routing option, download it directly to any of the pedal's six toggle switch positions - the sound is now available to you with a single stomp! Outside of the AfterShock, there simply does not exist a bass distortion pedal with this level of tonal possibilities.
