Kremona is a renowned Bulgarian brand, founded in 1924 by Dimitar Georgiev in Kazanlak. Georgiev, a gunsmith and engineer, developed an interest in string instruments during his service in the Bulgarian army during World War I, where he repaired mandolins for himself and others. After the war, he refined his skills in Germany, learning from master craftsmen in Markneukirchen, a hub of German musical instrument manufacturing. Upon returning to Bulgaria, Dimitar opened Kremona—the first string instrument workshop in the country. Over time, the brand gained international recognition for its handmade guitars, mandolins, and violins, known for their exceptional quality and sound. Today, the company continues to produce instruments, combining traditional methods with modern technology.
