The Genista series has long been associated with exceptional sound quality among drummers. Its classic sound is the result of the world's first unsupported birch shell made by Premier.
The Premier Genista Heritage 18" 3pc Shell Pack PGH18-3SPAQX premium unsupported shells are known for their sound. They have a full attacking sound and fast distortion that makes it crisp and accurate with a real sharp sound. The tom and snare drum shells are 7 ply and 5.6mm thick, while the bass drum is 9 ply and 7.2mm thick, giving it more volume and punch.
Taking on many of the innovations that Premier has offered over the years, the tom shells utilize an original 6mm diameter reduction for easy setup and even clearer, higher quality sound. As with all Genista shells, the 45-degree bearing edge is precision-cut to improve sound and tuning.
The setup also features Premier's proprietary crownstays, mounted directly to each tom shell in the tensioned drum design of yesteryear, with integral memory locking devices that offer maximum stability and secure tuning position. To avoid the risk of unwanted overtones, the frames and floor toms also come with 2.3 mm triple-flanged hoops.

At the heart of each shell proudly sits the famous "P" sign — an emblem of quality and a symbol of the return of the original chrome stand. Fully lacquered bass drum hoops, each Premier Genista Heritage 18" 3pc Shell Pack PGH18-3SPAQX is protected by an internal anti-corrosion lacquer to preserve and extend its life in high humidity environments.
