At the heart of this superb drum set are bodies made of 100% maple. The tom tom, snare, and toms have a 6-ply body with a thickness of 5 mm, and the bass drum has an 8-ply body with a thickness of 7 mm. Thanks to carefully selected materials and special processing methods, Superstar Classic drums deliver a full, rich sound with a rich resonance that will satisfy even the most demanding musicians.
One of the key features of this series is the Power Craft II laminates, which provide excellent sound from day one. The ring mufflers on the bass drums eliminate the need for additional internal muffling, providing a clear and powerful sound without the hassle.
The claw hooks on bass drums not only stabilize the wooden hoops, but also have a built-in rubber pad to protect the wood and keep it in tune even during long performances. This is especially important for drummers who often perform live and need the stability and reliability of their instrument.
The TAMA L-Rod and Omnisphere tom holder system, which has been winning professional accolades for over 25 years, offers easy placement, maximum flexibility and stability. It preserves the natural resonance of the drums, making the sound even more expressive and clear.
The newly developed Low-Mass lugs minimize the surface area of the enclosure, which promotes free resonance. This feature, combined with the Star-Mount system, maximizes drum support and resonance. The Star-Mount supports the drums at four points on the top hoop side, which prevents the eyebolts from bumping even when the volumes are close together.
