After numerous tests and evaluations of the design, Steve Gedd created an innovative drum. Until now, metal drums from Yamaha have traditionally had a metal center board inside the drum. However, we've taken it a step further by mounting this rim to the outside of the drum, creating a more open sound than our conventional models for clear and articulate performance.
The reliable and durable Q Type strainer ensures stable and smooth performance, as well as easy setup and mesh replacement.
