The Sabian Crescent 16" Smash Crash is a crash cymbal with an expressive, energetic character and instant attack. The top surface has a traditional lathing with thin grooves that add warmth and natural openness to the sound. The bottom is made with wider grooves that enhance brightness and make the attack more piercing and clearly defined. The Smash Crash produces an aggressive, explosive tone, yet maintains control and clarity regardless of playing dynamics. This is the type of crash that cuts through the mix easily without becoming harsh or muddy. Like all cymbals in the Crescent line, it has a distinctive raw, slightly rough sound that combines grit, drive, and expressive musicality with a funky vibe.
