The Elektron Digitakt II is a 16-track drum machine and stereo sampler that will transport you into a new dimension of rhythm creation. It allows you to work with samples in stereo or mono format, as well as manage MIDI tracks. With a modular approach to sound creation and an advanced sequencer, this device offers limitless possibilities for audio processing and creating complex rhythmic compositions.
The model offers impressive functionality with the ability to load samples in real time from both external and internal sources. The significantly increased memory capacity allows you to record up to 30 minutes of stereo samples per project, as well as utilize up to a thousand slots for storage. This enables musicians to create their own sound collages and experiment with any audio material.
The Digitakt II supports five types of sampling machines: One Shot (for drums), Repitch (for pitch alteration), Grid (for detailed sample slicing), and Stretch (for rhythm synchronization). Each track can use up to three LFOs, several types of filters, and various effects, including distortion, reverb, delay, chorus, and more. This allows for individual sound customization for each track.
The advanced 128-step sequencer enables the creation of complex rhythmic patterns and the use of algorithmic generation for unexpected results. Support for Song Mode allows for combining different patterns to create cohesive compositions.
The Digitakt II also features a MIDI interface for controlling external devices, providing even more integration options with other musical instruments and equipment. The rear panel includes balanced stereo inputs and outputs on TRS 1/4" connectors, 5-pin MIDI connectors for input, output, and MIDI Thru, as well as a USB Type B port for connecting to a computer.
