Description

Vic Firth 5B Silver Bullet are powerful universal sticks based on the popular 5B model, but with a feature that immediately sets them apart from the rest: a metal tip. Made from select American hickory, they combine strength, optimal weight, and excellent balance. The teardrop-shaped aluminum tip provides an extremely bright, piercing, and clear cymbal sound that cannot be achieved with wooden or nylon counterparts.

This model is particularly well suited for live performances or studio recording, where it is important for the cymbals to “cut through” the mix. The sound becomes more focused and glassy, and the added density of the metal improves attack and clarity when playing the cymbals. Staying within the classic length and diameter parameters of the 5B model, the Silver Bullet retains the familiar weight and comfort feel, but opens up new sonic possibilities.
