Conference microphone Electro-Voice PolarChoice Podium (Plus version, length 12")

Electro-Voice's PolarChoice podium microphones provide the flexibility and sound quality needed to capture speech in any environment. The PolarChoice Series podium microphones feature a dual capsule design that provides four user-switchable polar patterns, providing the flexibility to operate in noisy environments or in situations where a larger capture area is required. PolarChoice microphones are ideal for use in places of worship, auditoriums, boardrooms, conference rooms, and more.

PolarChoice Podium is the first podium microphone with selectable polar patterns: omni, cardioid, supercardioid and hypercardioid. It comes in three variants: XLR, Flange-Mount (FL) and Plus. The unique PC-Plus chassis profile allows the push-button switch and LED status indicator to be placed in a more natural position, while also creating a lower chassis profile. The button can be configured to either toggle (on/off) or operate in PTT or PTM mode. You can also configure the state of the microphones when you first turn on the power in switch mode. For example, if you have a setup with multiple PC-Plus microphones, you can configure them so that only one microphone is active when you first turn on the system.

The microphone is highly immune to RFI/GSM thanks to EV's exclusive RF Shield technology. PC-Plus also includes a switchable high-pass filter that significantly reduces noise caused by vibration. All configuration controls are accessible only from the bottom of the microphone, reducing the likelihood of unintentional changes. Changing the polar pattern does not change the on-axis sonic character of the microphone, so changes to the EQ settings are not necessary.

PolarChoice PC-Plus is acoustically designed for high-quality audio reinforcement and broadcast applications. The frequency response is adapted to reproduce sound over a wide range with very natural sound transmission both at long distances and at close range. The small gooseneck has two flexible joints and a rigid central tube. The rigid tube prevents unsightly twisting of the gooseneck but allows the user to precisely position the microphone. PolarChoice PC Plus is designed for phantom power over a wide voltage range of 12–52 VDC (DIN 45 596 standard).
