The Marantz PRO Umpire is a portable USB microphone that is the same model built into the flagship Marantz Turret all-in-one system. The device is distinguished by high quality of practical and technical implementation, an affordable price, as well as a simple and intuitive interface. The microphone is ideal for gamers, streamers, bloggers, musicians and vocalists, as it allows you to easily and efficiently voice and record your voice using only a computer or laptop. Stable operation is guaranteed on Windows and macOS operating systems.
An electret condenser capsule with a diameter of 14 mm is provided for recording the audio signal. It is capable of sounding a frequency range from 80 Hz to 15 kHz, which almost completely covers the spectrum of useful frequencies of the human voice. This type of microphone is highly sensitive and can provide richer and more natural sound than dynamic models. The built-in A/D converter allows for sound recording up to 16 bit/48 kHz. A cardioid pick-up pattern contributes to a clear and intelligible tone, which suppresses all noise in all directions and behind the capsule, leaving only the audible zone in front of it. There is also an attenuator, which allows you to reduce the input signal by 10 dB to prevent clipping. Connecting to a computer and powering the device is carried out using the USB-A port.
The Marantz Umpire is a simple and effective USB microphone that allows you to record directly to your PC in decent quality without unnecessary and expensive equipment, sufficient for podcasts, streams and music demos. The device is small, so it does not take up much free space in the workplace, and the package includes such essential accessories as a sturdy metal desktop stand with an integrated microphone holder and a pop filter to protect against plosive consonants.
