The Sennheiser MKE 600 is a professional condenser shotgun microphone designed specifically for video cameras and film production. Its main advantage is the supercardioid directivity, which allows the microphone to clearly capture sound from in front of the camera while effectively reducing unwanted noise from the sides and rear. This makes the MKE 600 an ideal choice for recording interviews, reports, or dialogue even in challenging acoustic environments.

The microphone features a switchable Low Cut filter that helps minimize wind and low-frequency noise. The Sennheiser MKE 600 can operate either on phantom power (48 V ±4 V) or on a standard AA battery. A convenient power switch with a “Low Batt” indicator allows users to monitor the device’s operating status.

Its rugged metal housing ensures durability and reliability in field conditions while effectively suppressing handling noise. The microphone can handle high sound pressure levels — up to 132 dB with phantom power and up to 126 dB on battery — while maintaining a low self-noise level of 16 dB(A).
