The Shure Beta 98H/C miniature cardioid condenser microphone attaches to the bell of wind instruments or to the rim of percussion instruments. The Beta 98H/C is also great for percussion and some stringed instruments. A gooseneck and swivel design make it easy to position and secure the microphone, while an isolating shock mount reduces transmission of instrument vibration. Once the position is determined, the angle bracket ensures that the Beta 98H/C stays in place even during the most intense performances. With a stable cardioid pickup pattern, the Beta 98H/C provides high open-loop gain and smooth off-axis. Its ability to withstand extremely high sound pressure levels (SPL) makes it ideal for live amplification of the sound of various musical instruments. The Beta 98H/C is equipped with a 3 m (10 ft) flexible cable with preamp connected (XLR connector).
